The Flock Blog Test

This is a test of the Blogging took inside Flock Browser.  I have a couple of things I’d like to see in this WYSIWYG Editor. But for the most part, this is a great tool.  The ability to JUSTIFY the type would be nice.  But it has most everything else needed.

BTR.04.FEB.2007-Superbowl-Time

… that means a an onslaught of commercials!

Yes, COMMERCIALS. You know those elements of broadcast TV we all just can’t wait to appear while we grudgingly – if not patiently – wade through the ‘regularly scheduled programming’.

Yeah! That’s the stuff!

Well, in a perfect world – to quote another of our beloved commercial phrases – we’d all think like that. Right?

NOT!

However, if there is a bright spot in the Commercial season, it would be – should be – could be – Oh My Goodness we hope it WILL BE!!!!! – the Super Bowl commercials.

We all have memory of the glory-years of Super Bowl commercials. Back-in-the-day when Budweiser battling bottles of brewsky across the green field of honor was funny. And who could forget the ‘talking frogs and thinking dogs’! Well in recent years we’ve been disappointed. But I’ll bet not nearly as disappointed as the poor saps who paid out $2.6M for a 30 second spliff on the TV time0uts!

The truth of this year’s Super Bowl commercials will be revealed this Sunday as we all dip into the dip-bowl, chow down on pizza, guzzle gallon after gallon of the malted food group and energize to the tune of the green M&M!

We’ll see then, if all that wading through the over-beefed bodies, dripping sweat, hoped-to-see-blood and bludgeoning of football play-action-time-outs … we’ll see if it was worth it just to glimpse the genius of those multi-million dollar dahlias … come Sunday evening.

In the meantime. Here’s an array of appetizers for you to chew on as you prime your palate before the Big Day.

The term Beyond The Ripples…

  • What does it mean?
  • Where did it come from?
  • Why should you care?

All very good questions – each with its own unique answer. That answer will come in due time from this post position. But in due time. In due time.

The concept of Beyond The Ripples comes from the basic understanding of how the ‘ripple effect’ works on water and in the air. When you create a disturbance in an otherwise ‘quiet’ or ‘calm’ region of water or air – the resulting reaction is seen -or more precisely, observed and/or measured – in the form a WAVE.

The wave moves OUTWARD from the center of the disturbance to continue on for whatever distance the energy can sustain it – or the wave is changed into another form of energy by collision and dissipation: it hits something or just stops.

Information acts in much the same manner.
